5,000 people, mainly black youth, marched to Leeds Town Hall on April 3 shouting "Whose Conspiracy? Police Conspiracy!" and "Smash state racism!"
The court cases of the Bradford 12 will start at Leeds Crown Court on ENT Monday 26 April. The 12 youth aged between 17 and 24 were arrested in a series of dawn raids across Bradford last summer. They are charged with making an explosive substance with intent to endanger life or property and conspiracy to make explosive substances.
They face a maximum sentence of life! Yet there were no petrol bombs used in Bradford!
This is a vicious attack on youth fighting the system. Most of the Bradford 12 are members of the United Black Youth League which fought for Anwar Ditta and worked to secure the acquittal of black worker Gary Pemberton on charges trumped up by the Bradford police.
Protest outside Leeds Crown Court, Monday April 26, 10am.
