In a separate resolution from the Book Branch, which has seen 15% of its members thrown out of work, the journalists' union decided to allow unemployed members to retain membership indefinitely without having to pay subs.
It called on the NUJ to campaign in the TUC for a national union of unemployed workers with the unemployed entitled to hold dual membership of an unemployed union and their own.
