If we are to oppose the sitings of cruise and trident then mass action is needed now.

And that's the major theme of the Youth March for Jobs not Bombs which plans to lobby Labour Party Conference in Blackpool on September 27.

The march organised by North West YCND and LPYS branches has already ssenna services de- received a lot of sponsors including: Tony Benn and 20 other Labour MP's, North West CND, Labour CND, Manchester City Labour Party, North West TUC, and the National Committees of both YCND Each UK household pays and most importantly the LPYS.

Mass Action The major emphasis is mass action against Cruise In 1981, Labour Party and Trident.

By lobbying the Labour Party Conference we want also to emphasise the need to build links between CND and the labour and trade union movement and to ensure a labour party maniDespite such policy, festo committed to unilateralism and Britain out of NATO. red by Class Fighter, 214 Sickert The lobby itself is one part of a series of events on the 4 day march from Manchester to Blackpool. After a (hopefully) noisy launch at a gig on Wednesday 23 at UMIST, the March will be going from Manchester through Bolton Chorley, and Preston to Blackpool. In Preston it's hoped the rally will assemble at the British nuclear fuel plant where a Namibian ex-Uranium miner will speak. On the Sunday in Blackpool we'll be linking up with a Labour CND march to lobby the Labour Party NEC and then conference on Monday.

En route there'll be film shows, gigs and lots more besides to publicise the event. And Saturday will be women's day.

At the moment help is desperately needed to raise £2,000 for September 23. (That means all you school leavers giving the March your first dole cheque!!)

If you want to help give money, receive leaflets or more information, then write or phone the Youth March at: Barnes Wallis Buildings, UMIST, Sackville, Manchester. tel: 061-236 9114/4905.
