This weekend thousands of workers and young people will throng the streets of London and Brockwell Park in another mass "Anti-Nazi' Carnival. PHOTO: Andrew Wiard, Report Platform 'left' Scargill for home, the real job will still need to be done. The Workers Socialist League invites youth bver, and trade unionists to help us in head the fight to do it. Labour government in deporting Irish workers and in forcing ex-CIA agent Philip Agee out of the country without informing him of the charges against him, confirm that only immediate action by the labour movement can force the government to act and prevent Proll being returned into the hands of her would-be torturers and murderers.

Socialist Press gives no political support whatever to the petty bourgeois 'terror' methods of the Red Army Faction. But Astrid Proll has committed no crime against the workers movement.

It is the responsibility of the trade union and labour movement to take up the fight against her extradition.

Trade union and Labour Party branches should immediately pass resolutions demanding that the Labour government drop extradition proceedings and grant political asylum.

socialists the point more forcibly still.

25 leaders of workers' organisations were originally arrested by the Brazilian dictatorship-21 of them members of the Brazilian leading members of the Argentinian PST (a sympathising section of the trade union and labour movement to fight for the repeal of the reactionary so-called "Prevention of Terrorism" Act.

The strike began when Liverpool Special. Branch at the weekend seized three dockersmembers of the Irish TGWUwho had travelled to Britain for a routine training course. Their names had previously been cleared as usual with the RUC by their union.

March:.

On Tuesday, as dockers marched through Belfast city centre to City Hall demanding the release of all three victims of British repression, two were released, leaving only Paddy Kelly under detention.

But far from defusing the fight this apparent concession only heightened militancy. On Wednesday a major stoppage of work took place as dockers laid seige for two hours to British imperialism's outpost at Stormont Castle, blocked the entrance to Belfast harbour, and sealed off roads into the city.

Kelly-who had at one point been interned in the Long Kesh concentration camp-was eventually released only under an exclusion order under the Terro Act, barring him from entry to Britain.

Innocent

This intimidation is in line with the whole method of the Prevention of Terrorism Act, which aims to create conditions to victimise thousands of innocent Irish republicans and militants against whom no legal charges can be laid.

The case coincided with the detention in Belfast under the PTA of the editor of the Provisional Sinn Fein paper Republican News.

The whole British labour movement must join with the Irish trade unions in fighting this vicious legislation. A major mobilisation against it and the whole apparatus of British repression is scheduled for Barnsley (Roy Mason's constituency) on October 7 in a march:

organised by the United Troops Out Movement.

SDLP faker Gerry Fitt backed calls for Kelly's release. on Tuesday to Venezuela. while several Socialist Convergence members have been freed.

But latest reports indicate that nine members of the Socialist Convergence remain in Geisel's jails.

We call on Labour MPs, union officials and labour movement bodies to lend their i weight to the campaign for their immediate release in good health' and the dropping of alli charges against them.
