There malt be a loss of 40,000 jobs over the next three years.

This is on top of 20,000 jobs already cut by the 3month recruitment ban imposed by the Tories soon after they were elected.

The government have said that although most of the cuts will be achieved by natura! wastage they cannot guarantee that there will be no redundancies.

Civil service union leaders see it as a partial victory that the government has only proposed an 8% cut instead of the original 10, 15 and 20% options.

This is no victory! As the Tories have made clear, these cuts are just the beginning of an all-out attack on civil service jobs.

Lord Soames said that the cuts announced last week were only "the savings which it has been possible to identify reasonably quickly" and "the search for greater economic efficiency will go on and the general trend members in support of their senerd, and by 200 body shop norces i defend a TGWU smart zu been called off by ETC = me meck., and ee: =mencr fad" book 2E Im IZ I CI I MA ITOMM EUT ICTT SER as 27% DL T ME DAT *swcaal e0res mau Pe II EI IS SAL FLE MOA STO TE-ME I TOM FILE WDi e FE I II Victmisaor ma7 mil Je T end to tranaja at os J shop foor conditons at tt union rights.
